LOUISVILLE WATER COMPANY SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE BUILDING

LOUISVILLE WATER COMPANY SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE BUILDING

In order to provide an improved and safer treatment process, the Louisville Water Company proposed to design and construct a new Sodium Hypochlorite Building on the existing campus of the Crescent Hill Water Treatment Plant. CEI provided structural analysis (including FEM modeling), structural design, structural drafting, and structural specification preparation services for this new two-story reinforced concrete frame structure. The proximity of adjacent structures had to be considered in the design of this facility. The structure is located adjacent to two existing buildings on the north side and an existing softening basin on the south side. Additionally, we also provided Project Management and structural special inspections for this building while under construction.
